Hello everyone!

I have arrived in New Zealand glitch free. My boat, gear, and everything else arrived without difficulty (once I was past the Canadian Airlines’ check-in counter… but that’s a story for another time).

I was driven to the house where I will be staying, no problems there either. On the van ride I met a junior USA team member who was really nice. Everyone is nice here. I also met Corran Addison (co-owner of Riot Kayaks) who was friendly.

It was raining when I arrived but now it’s sunny. The group is great there is Jeff Lewis (from Whitehorse), Charlene Stark (from Victoria), Mike, Jay, and John. The house is really nice and in a safe area.

There are so many paddlers in town. But I have not yet visited the rodeo site because the van is getting fixed, so we’re checking out the town and I am e-mailing away!
